Meghdoot

Meghdoot, written by a world renowned sanskrit poet Kalidasa, is an exceptional work in the field of poetry. A common question that arises is that why Shoonya, a theatre group, is staging Meghdoot when basically it is a poem and not a regular drama? The reason is that, Meghdoot is not only known for its Rhythm, Lyricism and amazing beauty of nature, it is also true that it has a lot elements of Indian Natya-Shashtra hidden within it.
